The Governance Committee of AACRAO's Board of Directors will host the second webinar to outline and discuss the proposed changes to the bylaws to be voted on at the Annual Meeting in San Francisco. Notice of the proposed changes was sent to the membership on Thursday, March 14 in the AACRAO Transcript. The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, at 2 pm EDT. The webinar will include a discussion of the evolution of AACRAO and its governance, a review of the proposed changes and the rationale for each change, and an outline of the transition plan. There will be time set aside for questions and answers following.
On AACRAO's governance page (http://governance.aacrao.org/) are copies of the bylaws, a brief rationale for each change, a letter from AACRAO's president, questions and answers from the first webinar, and a link to an archived copy of the first webinar. Members may wish to review the documents on the governance page in advance of the webinar, and make any comments or pose any questions on that page. Comments and questions posed before the webinar will be addressed by the presenters during the webinar. Members of the Board's Governance Committee (Chair Adrienne McDay, Melanie Gottlieb, Nancy Krogh, and Nora McLaughlin) will present Wednesday, April 3rd at 2 p.m. EDT.
Registration for the live session is limited to the first 200 individuals determined on a first come basis. The archive will be available 30 min after the conclusion of the live session.
